About Us
We are a bilingual family artistic-oriented preschool in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
The founder and Director, Yvonne González created Mi Escuelita 18 years ago with a unique vision. Mixing the Emergent Open Creative Curriculum and the Reggio Emilia Approach. Combining these methodologies allows us to work with our children to ensure that they learn in the best possible way, nurturing both cognitive as well as emotional-social skills.
Mi Escuelita is proud to be local, independent, and women-owned. At Mi Escuelita, we embrace childcare and teaching using our unique approach.

Latin – American Summer Camp
In the summer, Mi Escuelita encourages children to explore natural environments and enjoy the season through activities such as art projects, storytelling, water play, music, cooking, and picnics!
We have a fantastic Jardín (garden).
During this time, we also passionately promote Latin American culture through engaging ideas that enrich not only our multicultural community but also ignite curiosity to learn and explore the richness of other countries. Our activities are infused with Latin American flavors and include food, music, and art.
